This last Sunday I went to the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, TX. It was wonderful because is was raining a steady down pour all day ... so, not many people were at the Center.
This is one of the pieces of work that is outside in the garden. I loved how it looks up to the tumultuous clouds.
There is a haiku dancing about my mind for this one ... is there one in your mind? Share it.
Rainy day smooch,

Ps. Stay tuned for the next post ... I plan to upload a photo of my favorite sculptor from the Center next.

That really takes the cupcake. Talk about being "up the pole".
Looks really cool!
wow that sculpture is striking. how tall? are the figures life size. I'm going to look for a link to that sculpture centre.
beautiful photo
beautiful picture...i love that sculpture....
Very cool!
No Haiku but it brings to mind the lyrics from the Fastball song "The Way".
Anyone could see
The road that they walk
on is paved in gold
And it's always summer,
they'll never get cold
They'll never get hungry
They'll never get old and gray
You can see their shadows
Wandering off somewhere
They won't make it home
But they really don't care
They wanted the highway
They're happy there today, today
The journey upwards
Its striving towards a goal
but where to from there?
I started writing a poem. But I didn't have three hours. Maybe I'll try again later. it's a brilliant sculpture, though. :-D
mom, give dad the map
this ain't the way to Nasher
you've got ourselves lost!
striding single file
heaven-bound mystery tour -
Souls leaving the earth.
silhouetted walk
into the granite abyss
no one turns to talk
Isn't the Nasher fabulous? Great shot of the sculpture!
Climbilicious.
I gotta make it down there one of these days...very nice pic
WOW! I was just there in July and I took a picture of that very sculpture in just about the same location! (but when I was there I think it was sunny and just 107 degrees out). :OP
That was a surprising photo. I think the branches gave it away for me a little too quick - I have a feeling the photo could have had more impact without them. And maybe even a different orientation... (am I pushing it?)
Wow! Great photo,Tart!
