Illustration Friday "Match" ... a Tarty view

How do you know when you have found your “match?” A mystery for sure ... so I leave you with a couple of things; two haikus, a favorite song of mine & two images I created in Photoshop ~ both of which I had fun making.

If you look long enough at the second image, the lights begin to look like they grow brighter ... to me anyway! Double click on the images to see them better, natch!

the racket of love
running to find a free court
distracted by signs

it’s a game for some
so many reasons to run
hope for the sweet spot

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Suddenly I See, KT Tunstall (from the movie, The Devil Wears Prada)

Her face is a map of the world
Is a map of the world
You can see she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
And everything around her is a silver pool of light
The people who surround her feel the benefit of it
It makes you calm
She holds you captivated in her palm

I feel like walking the world
Like walking the world
You can hear she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
She fills up every corner like she's born in black and white
Makes you feel warmer when you're trying to remember
What you heard
She likes to leave you hanging on a wire

And she's taller than most
And she's looking at me
I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine
Oh she makes me feel like I could be a tower
A big strong tower
She got the power to be
The power to give
The power to see

Great tune to dance to ... on or off the court!

Double Smooch,
The Tart

I love haikus, and the two of these capture aspects of the love 'game' perfectly ...

KT Tunstall? Great :-D

How about a quick photoshop-for-dummies course? I have the programme but not the patience to trawl through it ...

great illos as usual. Oddly enough in the 2nd one the face seemed to fade away to me instead of the lights getting brighter. It was like a reverse bloody mary thing. Cept of course bloody mary wasn't nearly that attractive.

Love both of these. They have a mystical quality to them and are equally beautiful!

Some people are simply matchless and unmatched. Love the textures & depth in the bhe B & W paisley image.

How do you know if you have found your match.... A question for me too. For years. I think I will never know the answer. Your art is very poetic...

Ephemeral and unreal,
Always flying away,
Love.

Getting a stiff neck
Back and forth, eyes on the ball
Not on its shadow

Can't resist haiku when I see one.
Love your haikus and your images. The lights do pulsate.

Lovely images and Haikus. I feel all woozy and romantic thinking about dancing to that song but it's only 9:34am and I have a day of work ahead of me and alas no dance partner available to me at the moment. :(
